Assam Cabinet Approves New Policy For Green Energy

The Assam Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has approved the establishment of a mega industrial park and a new green energy policy aimed at promoting sustainable development in the state. 
The Cabinet has allocated 569 bighas (over 188 acres) of land in Morigaon district for the development of the industrial park, which is expected to boost industrial growth and create employment opportunities. 
In addition, the Cabinet approved the Assam Integrated Clean Energy Policy, 2025, to promote renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, mini and small hydro, and hydrogen projects in the state. 
The Cabinet also announced the creation of Sikhna Jwhwlao National Park, which will be located between the existing Raimona and Manas National Parks in Chirang and Kokrajhar districts, covering an area of 316.29 square kilometers. 
Furthermore, Post Graduate increments were approved for Ayurvedic doctors who have successfully completed a 3-year PG course.
