Bajel Wins Pune Substation Order
Bajel Projects has secured a major order for a 765kV AIS new substation package in Maharashtra, strengthening its presence in the high-voltage substation segment.
The order is part of the Network Expansion Scheme in Maharashtra for removal of transmission constraints in Pune Region-I. The project includes setting up a new 765/400kV AIS substation at Pune East, along with extending the existing 400kV Karjat AIS and 400kV Lonikand-II AIS substations.
The project is aimed at reinforcing power transmission infrastructure in Pune, one of India’s key industrial load centres.
Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director & CEO, Bajel Projects, said the Pune East substation and the augmentation of Karjat and Lonikand-II would play a key role in removing transmission constraints and strengthening Maharashtra’s grid.
As per the company’s classification, major orders fall in the Rs 2 billion to Rs 3 billion range, inclusive of GST."
