Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 To Shape India's Power Future
Senior ministers from the Government of India and International Energy Ministers from 10 countries are scheduled to attend, alongside power ministers and secretaries from more than 25 states and Union Territories and ambassadors from approximately 60 countries. The roster will include more than 100 chief executives of major utilities and central power sector enterprises and over 300 speakers, offering ministerial dialogues, CEO forums and strategic conferences that aim to accelerate grid modernisation, deployment of clean technologies and investment flows. Delegates will include representatives from industry associations and academia.
The summit programme will comprise more than 100 conference sessions and over 50 high-level strategic events organised across thematic tracks covering generation, transmission, renewable and clean energy, energy storage, distribution and smart grid technologies. A large-scale exhibition in excess of 20,000 sq m will showcase technological innovations, startups and manufacturer displays across thematic zones and will host buyer-seller meetings to connect international procurement agencies and utilities with Indian suppliers. Special sessions will address vendor development under the Make in India initiative and emerging areas such as stationary energy storage.
Organisers estimate investment opportunities of more than Rs 50 trillion (Rs 50 tn) in generation, transmission, distribution and energy storage through 2032, with a focus on technology indigenisation and competitiveness. The summit is presented by the Ministry of Power and industry partners and aims to catalyse projects, finance and partnerships that strengthen supply chains and enhance ease of doing business in the sector. The event intends to support workforce development, inclusive access and policy frameworks that underpin a resilient and affordable electricity future.
