Blue Cloud Acquires Global Impx To Build AI Energy Platform
The transaction is proposed to be capital efficient with no immediate cash outflow and to combine US-led technology capabilities with India scale infrastructure execution. A cornerstone asset is a land parcel of approximately 196.7 acres near Gopalpur Port and NH-16 in Chhatrapur, Odisha with IDCO approvals and planned phased data centre development from five Megawatt (MW) to 25 MW and onward to 100 MW hyperscale capacity, with proximity to emerging subsea cable connectivity.
An independent valuation dated 4 April, 2026 values GIX at approximately Rs 3,728.1 million (mn), subject to final documentation and approvals. BCSSL reported FY2025 revenues of Rs 7,980 million (mn). GIX brings distributed energy infrastructure capabilities including solar, battery energy storage systems, microgrids and Energy as a Service models together with AI driven energy optimisation and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platforms and project development and execution expertise to support AI intensive compute environments.
Subject to completion, GIX will become a wholly owned subsidiary of BCSSL and several affiliates will become step down subsidiaries. BCSSL intends to establish a dedicated AI and Data Centre Infrastructure vertical to integrate renewable energy, battery storage and AI led energy optimisation with phased hyperscale development and operations, aiming to generate infrastructure led revenues, long term contracted services and recurring digital and AI driven service revenues while enabling strategic partnerships and potential platform level capital raising.
