Bokaro Power Supply Company Limited (BPSCL) has issued a fresh tender for the operation and maintenance of its 2.0 MW solar power plant at Bokaro Steel City in Jharkhand. The company is a joint venture between Steel Authority of India Limited and Damodar Valley Corporation, and supplies power and steam to the Bokaro Steel Plant.

The tender, dated 17 January 2026, seeks to appoint a qualified agency for comprehensive operation and maintenance of the solar facility. The 2.0 MW plant is part of a broader 2.1 MWp rooftop and ground-mounted solar installation operated by BPSCL to cut emissions and strengthen sustainability across its captive power operations.

To ensure transparency and prevent duplication, BPSCL has laid down strict eligibility and submission conditions. Bids will be rejected if two or more bidders share the same PAN, GST number, postal address, email ID or mobile number. The company has also specified that a single individual cannot represent multiple bidders or sign more than one bid. All submissions must strictly comply with requirements listed on the e-procurement portal.

BPSCL has retained the right to amend tender documents, extend submission timelines or reject any bid at any stage without assigning reasons. Bidders will not be entitled to compensation in such cases. The submission deadline will follow timelines indicated on the portal, typically within 21 to 30 days from the tender release date for similar projects.

The tender reflects BPSCL’s continued push to expand renewable energy integration while ensuring efficient, long-term maintenance of its solar assets in support of industrial power operations.
