CEA, IIT Roorkee Sign MoU for Energy Sector Research

The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) and IIT Roorkee have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on research and capacity building in the power sector. The agreement covers hydropower, clean energy transition, integration of renewables, and emerging technologies like green hydrogen and e-mobility.

The partnership aims to enhance technical expertise, promote sustainable practices, and support India’s net-zero emission targets. Key areas include emission inventories, battery recycling standards, and improving power supply reliability.
