Ceigall India Limited has announced that it has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the development of grid-connected solar power projects in multiple districts across Maharashtra.

Under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0, the company has been appointed as the Solar Power Developer (SPD) to construct solar photovoltaic generating stations with a combined capacity of 147 MW (AC).

The project, valued at Rs 5.97 billion, will include the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the 147 MW solar plant. Ceigall India will operate, maintain, and supply power for 25 years under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with MSEDCL. Construction and execution are expected to be completed within 18 months, after which the operational phase will begin.

In a separate development, Ceigall India has received another LoA from MSEDCL to set up grid-connected solar power projects across four additional districts in Maharashtra, with a total capacity of 190 MW (AC). This project is valued at Rs 7.12 billion.

Together, these two projects will add a total capacity of 337 MW (AC) and involve a combined investment of Rs 13.09 billion, strengthening Ceigall India’s renewable energy portfolio.

Ceigall India, a leading infrastructure EPC company, specialises in large-scale structural works, including elevated roads, flyovers, bridges, tunnels, highways, expressways, rail overbridges, and airport runways. Its operations are broadly divided between EPC projects and Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) projects.

Financially, the company reported a 33 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 531.8 million for Q1 FY26, despite a 1.9 per cent rise in revenue to Rs 8.38 billion compared to Q1 FY25. On Friday, its stock price slipped 1.27 per cent, closing at Rs 260.65 on the BSE.

The new solar awards further diversify Ceigall India’s project portfolio and reinforce its growing role in India’s renewable energy and infrastructure development.
