Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday announced that domestic electricity consumers will now receive the benefit of the State’s “half electricity bill scheme” for consumption of up to 200 units, doubling the previous cap of 100 units.
He made the announcement while addressing the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly during a one-day special session held to mark 25 years of the Assembly’s parliamentary journey.
The session was also the final sitting in the current Assembly building, as the House will now shift to its newly constructed premises in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 1 November.
