Data Centre Power Management Market to Reach $107.06 Bn by 2034

The global data centre power and energy management market is projected to grow from $35.95 billion in 2025 to $107.06 billion by 2034, registering a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.9%, according to Polaris Market Research.

Increasing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), high-density computing and GPU-based infrastructure is driving demand for advanced power distribution, uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems, energy storage and intelligent monitoring solutions.

Hyperscale operators accounted for 37.33% of the market in 2025, while the energy generation segment is expected to grow at a CAGR of 13.5% through 2034. Grid connectivity delays are encouraging operators to explore onsite generation, solar power, fuel cells and battery storage systems.

North America dominated the market with a 38.58% share in 2025, valued at approximately $13.87 billion. Asia Pacific is projected to record the fastest growth at 14.6%, reaching $30.2 billion by 2034, supported by expanding data centre infrastructure in China, India, Japan and Australia.

Major technology providers, including Schneider Electric, ABB, Eaton and Vertiv, are expanding their power management portfolios through advanced electrical systems, intelligent controls and acquisitions.

Emerging technologies such as high-voltage DC distribution, AI-driven energy optimisation, digital twins and microgrid controls are expected to improve operational efficiency and power reliability.

However, high capital expenditure, grid limitations, legacy infrastructure integration and cybersecurity concerns remain significant challenges for the industry.
