Datta Power Infra (Datta Infra) has commissioned two ground-mounted solar power projects of 2.52 MW (AC) each, adding up to a total capacity of 5.04 MW (AC), in Bhagwa village, Barmer district, Rajasthan. These projects have been developed under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme (Component C). The company is also planning to commission an additional 43 MW of solar projects under the same scheme in the coming months.

This development forms part of Datta Infra’s broader growth strategy aimed at strengthening its position as a key EPC player and expanding into emerging sectors such as waste management, biogas production, and hydro storage. The company’s order book has reached approximately Rs 28 billion, reflecting a healthy compound annual growth rate of 50 per cent.

Datta Infra has also launched a new EPC subsidiary, Power Sprout Solutions (PSS), which will manage an order book of 600 MW with a team of over 200 employees. PSS is focusing on solar, wind, hybrid, and round-the-clock (RTC) solutions for the commercial & industrial (C&I) segment as well as renewable energy integration (REI) bids.

The newly commissioned Bhagwa solar plants will feed electricity directly to the nearby State Grid Sub-Station (GSS), ensuring stable power supply for local farmers. This will support uninterrupted irrigation by powering water pumps, thus enhancing agricultural productivity and promoting long-term sustainability. Datta Infra will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of these plants for the next 25 years.

In addition, the company has secured 120 MW of wind power projects from SJVN and SECI, with construction expected to commence shortly, positioning it as an active contributor to India’s renewable energy transition.
