Diamond Power Wins Major 66 kV EHV Cable Order
The order is one of the largest single EHV cable awards received by the company and is expected to provide clear revenue visibility and contribute to profitability across the execution period. It further strengthens DPIL's engagement with state transmission utilities and enhances the company's profile in the critical transmission segment of India's power infrastructure. The scale of the contract underscores growing demand for specialised EHV solutions.
DPIL has demonstrated robust execution capabilities in the EHV segment, having received and successfully executed over 90 km of 66 kV and 110 kV EHV cable orders in the last six months and supplied to leading private sector developers and infrastructure players. The company operates state of the art manufacturing infrastructure and NABL approved testing facilities capable of testing up to 700 kV, enabling compliance with stringent type testing and prequalification standards. The EHV cable industry is characterised by high technical entry barriers, specialised continuous vulcanisation lines and lengthy approval cycles, positioning qualified manufacturers in a selective group.
With the current order, the company's total outstanding order book as on 30 March 2026 stands at Rs 35 billion (bn), providing strong revenue visibility for the coming periods. Management indicated that the award reflects technological strength and execution capability and said the company remains confident of delivering sustainable growth and enhanced value for stakeholders. DPIL offers a comprehensive product range from one point one kV to 400 kV and serves utilities, EPC contractors, renewable developers and industrial customers.
