Dilip Buildcon Bags Rs 2.09/kWh 100 MW Solar Project in MP

Dilip Buildcon, through its joint venture DBL-APMPL, has secured a 100 MW captive solar power project in Madhya Pradesh, winning the contract at a tariff of Rs 2.09 per kilowatt-hour. The project marks another step in the company’s renewable energy portfolio, strengthening its presence in the solar infrastructure segment.
The project will be executed in Ramnagar and Dhanwada villages located in Suwasra tehsil of Mandsaur district, over a total area of 315 acres of land allotted by the Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam (MPJN). Under the agreement, the generated power will be supplied to MPJN for a period of 25 years following commissioning.
As part of the project’s shareholding structure, MP Jal Nigam will hold a 26 per cent equity stake, contributing roughly Rs 312 million, while the remaining 74 per cent ownership will rest with Dilip Buildcon through its joint venture partner.
The contract for this project was issued by MPJN in July 2025 and awarded after a three-month bidding process. Construction is expected to be completed within 24 months, with the joint venture obligated to maintain at least 90 per cent of the annual guaranteed output for five consecutive years post-commissioning.
This project underscores the growing role of captive solar generation in meeting institutional energy needs in Madhya Pradesh’s public infrastructure sector.
