DPIIT Signs MoU With Repos Energy To Support Startups
Under the memorandum, partners will co-host innovation challenges and hackathons and organise investor connect programmes and skill development initiatives to nurture talent and validate concepts. The initiative will also facilitate pilot opportunities and market access for startups seeking to scale prototypes towards commercial deployment. The programme is expected to leverage the Startup India platform for wider outreach and to link innovators with manufacturing and supply chain stakeholders.
Government officials described the partnership as reflecting continued commitment to strengthening the startup ecosystem by enabling access to infrastructure, mentorship and market linkages. The Joint Secretary of DPIIT emphasised the role of such collaborations in accelerating innovation in fuel-tech, manufacturing and supply chain technologies. The memorandum was executed by the Deputy Secretary of DPIIT and the founder of Repos Energy in the presence of senior officials.
Officials indicated the collaboration is expected to foster indigenous innovation and to facilitate the scaling of startups in emerging sectors. The initiative should enhance industry–startup linkages and support development of technology-driven solutions that respond to domestic manufacturing needs. Stakeholders anticipate that coordinated programmes will improve pathways from ideation to prototyping and increase the prospects for commercial uptake.
