Enrich Wins 300 MW Solar EPC Contract At NTPC Anta Rajasthan

Enrich has been awarded a 300 megawatt (MW) solar engineering, procurement and construction contract by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited for development at NTPC Anta in Rajasthan. The turnkey contract will strengthen Enrich's portfolio in large-scale utility solar projects and was awarded following a tender issued in October and decided after six months. The project will be developed within the NTPC Anta site and requires full compliance with NTPC REL technical specifications.\n\nUnder the scope of work Enrich will be responsible for arranging and transferring encumbrance-free land in favour of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited and for comprehensive EPC activities. The company will undertake design, engineering, manufacturing, transportation, storage, installation and commissioning of the solar plant and will execute operation and maintenance for a period of three years post commissioning. The developer must ensure ownership or lease transfer and complete handover of site rights as required by the contract.\n\nThe winning bidder must complete all EPC works using open category photovoltaic modules and establish a power evacuation system up to the NTPC Anta 220 kV switchyard with telemetry connectivity to the ISTS pooling substation through the Anta substation. Technical specifications include installation of closed circuit television systems and equipment for reactive power compensation and control of harmonics to meet grid compliance. The scope also covers creation of a terminal bay, extension of the 220 kV bus, erection of a new 220 kV bay and construction of a dedicated transmission line including right of way clearances.\n\nIndustry precedent at Anta includes a 90 MW/135 MWp ground-mounted solar project commissioned by Amara Raja Infra Private Limited on a 437-acre site in Baran district that is expected to generate 213 million units of green energy annually. That Balance of System contract was awarded by a central public sector undertaking and was delivered within the premises of the Anta thermal station. Enrich's leadership described the award as a significant milestone for the company and said it will support national clean energy objectives and strengthen renewable infrastructure whilst reinforcing the company order book and project management capabilities.
