Enviro Infra Engineers Wins Rs 14.81 bn Orders, Enters BESS

Enviro Infra Engineers Limited has secured five projects in March 2026 and added significant value to its order book. The combined value of the orders was Rs 1,481 crore, equivalent to Rs 14,810 million (mn) or Rs 14.81 billion (bn). Enviro Infra Engineers Limited, a specialist in water and wastewater treatment, has announced entry into the renewable energy sector including Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The wins come from NTPC Limited and represent a step up in scale for the company.

Alongside its core business, the company said the addition of BESS projects with a combined order value exceeding Rs 1,070 crore strengthens its diversified portfolio. The Rs 1,070 crore figure translates to Rs 10,700 million (mn) or Rs 10.7 billion (bn). The company indicated that these projects improve near term revenue visibility and mark a transition from pilot stage assignments to larger grid planning and utility scale work.

Market conditions are supporting expansion as energy storage becomes central to renewable integration and grid stability. Industry data referenced by the company noted that India has built less than one per cent of required battery storage capacity, leaving a gap of 208 GWh, which underscores a substantial growth opportunity. The company argued that falling battery costs and policy support are accelerating adoption and that early scale projects can provide a competitive advantage as the market matures.

The new orders also expand the firm's geographic footprint into Bihar, Assam and Telangana, reflecting a focus on key growth markets for urban infrastructure and energy transition work. The chairman said the NTPC awards represent a milestone in diversification into sustainable energy and underlined the firm's commitment to deliver the projects to high standards of quality and efficiency. Management expects the projects to support longer term growth and enhance the company's positioning in integrated infrastructure services.
