EPIL Invites EOI For 250 MW Solar EPC Project in Rajasthan
The selected associate will identify and secure land and must either facilitate transfer of ownership or arrange a lease for 28 years in favour of SGEL. The scope includes design, engineering, procurement, supply, installation, testing and commissioning, power evacuation to the interconnection point, and operation and maintenance of the plant, switchyard and transmission infrastructure for three years.
Technical eligibility requires successful execution of grid connected solar projects totalling at least 30 MW during the last 10 years, including one plant of at least 10 MW that has operated for a minimum of three months. Alternatively, developers or EPC contractors who have completed an industrial or infrastructure project valued at Rs. 15.9 million (mn) per MW together with a substation of 33 kV or higher are eligible.
Financial criteria require an average annual turnover of at least Rs. 4 billion (bn) over the three completed financial years FY 2022-23 to FY 2024-25; applicants should not have recorded losses in more than two of the last five. Firms must demonstrate a net worth of Rs. 800 million (mn) as of March 31, 2025 or provide a bank solvency certificate of Rs. 3.2 billion (bn). The EOI opened on June 5, 2026; clarifications ran June 6–9; online EOIs and sealed price bids due by June 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM and proposals will be opened on June 16, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Bidders must pay a non refundable document fee of Rs. 29,500, submit a refundable EMD of Rs. 2 mn and arrange a tender EMD of Rs. 265 mn and required performance bank guarantees.
