Fourth Partner Energy Limited (FPEL) has signed a contract with Evolta Energy to develop a 50 Megawatt (MW) solar project in Tamil Nadu, adding to its renewable energy pipeline and reinforcing its position in the open access segment. The project will form part of FPEL's expanding commercial and industrial portfolio across India. The agreement was structured to draw on complementary strengths from both firms for site development and grid connection.

Evolta Energy will lead land acquisition, permitting and alternating current (AC) infrastructure, while FPEL will manage project development and execution activities. The allocation of responsibilities aims to streamline early stage approvals and the construction of the AC systems necessary for grid integration. The collaboration is presented as a partnership that blends local delivery capabilities with developer expertise to advance project readiness.

Aditya Agarwal, head of Open Access at FPEL, said that Evolta Energy's capabilities across land, permitting and AC infrastructure complement FPEL's project development expertise and will help carry the project from development to execution. He highlighted the strategic value of adding a 50 MW site in Tamil Nadu to the company's open access pipeline. The announcement follows FPEL's wider strategy to scale operations in the commercial and industrial renewable sector.

The development will expand FPEL's footprint in the open access market and strengthen its ability to offer renewable solutions to corporate customers. It also underscores continued investor and developer interest in regional solar projects that support grid decarbonisation and corporate sustainability objectives. FPEL and Evolta Energy will proceed with further preparatory work ahead of construction and commissioning schedules.

The arrangement is intended to accelerate permitting timelines and reduce development risk through coordinated site management and AC works. Both companies will coordinate with local authorities and grid operators to align interconnection planning. The partnership is part of FPEL's broader pipeline growth.
