Global Nuclear Experts Collaborate on Equipment Repair
A three-day working meeting hosted by the Moscow Center of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) at the Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) concluded on 8th April 2026, focusing on the ""Experience with Updating Repair Documentation."" The event attracted participants from key nuclear organizations including JSC Concern Roenergoatom, JSC Atomenergoremont, and ANO DPO Rosatom Technical Academy, alongside representatives from NPPs in Russia, India, China, Turkey, Armenia, and Belarus.
The meeting was centered on the sharing of best practices for handling repair documentation across NPPs. Topics covered included the efficient updating of repair documents, improving documentation processes, and optimizing storage and distribution methods.
Sergey Lesin, WANO-MC Advisor, emphasized the importance of quality repair documentation, noting that multiple measures, such as feedback forms and inspections, have been implemented at Moscow Center nuclear plants. These initiatives are helping to refine the preparation and execution of repairs, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Elena Goncharova, a member of WANO's youth movement, praised the meeting's relevance in improving her work, noting that such events play a pivotal role in enhancing specialist competencies and fostering international cooperation.
