Godrej Enterprises Scales Green Power Solutions For Data Centres

Godrej Enterprises Group is accelerating its focus on India’s expanding data centre sector with an integrated offering in power infrastructure, busduct solutions and green consultancy services. The Group’s Energy Solutions business is targeting 10 to 15 per cent of revenue from data centres over the next three years, aligning the strategy with the Government of India’s policy push and the priorities set out in the Union Budget 2026. The initiative is presented as part of the conglomerate’s effort to enable a digital backbone for a Viksit Bharat.

The company has highlighted that data centres are among the most energy intensive infrastructure assets and therefore require dedicated power infrastructure for reliability, electrical busducts for efficiency and safety, and green consulting to support net-zero goals. By pairing modular busduct systems with green building expertise the business aims to help hyperscalers and enterprises scale rapidly while reducing energy use, cost and carbon emissions. Godrej Energy Solutions expects such integrated solutions to support renewable energy integration and large-scale energy efficient systems.

Godrej has implemented greenfield and colocation data centre projects designed to IGBC and LEED standards and reports collaboration with key data centre players across India. The Group seeks to expand its order book through power substation construction, busduct provision and green building consultancy for major data centre developers. Industry estimates indicate installed capacity in India is set to rise to nearly one point seven gigawatt (GW) in the near term, driven by digital adoption, artificial intelligence workloads, data localisation and expanding cloud infrastructure. Against this backdrop the Group views data centres as a strategic long term growth segment.

Godrej Enterprises Group traces its origins to 1897 and maintains a presence across five continents with activities spanning aerospace, defence, energy, green building consulting and other industrial and consumer businesses. The Group positions its engineering, design led innovation and sustainable manufacturing capabilities as enablers of resilient digital infrastructure that supports India’s ambition to become a global data and technology hub.
