HPHC Leads Green Building and Net Zero Efforts in Haryana Police Facilities
The Managing Director of HPHC, O.P. Singh, outlined the corporation's comprehensive strategy, which emphasises energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable materials, and advanced water management systems in the design and construction of police buildings. This initiative aims not only at building new facilities but also at transforming the entire approach to infrastructure development within the public sector.
HPHC?s approach prioritizes energy efficiency. Architects involved in these projects are tasked with designing buildings that minimize energy consumption from the start. This involves optimizing building orientation to maximise natural light and ventilation, incorporating advanced insulation techniques, and using energy-efficient materials. The goal is to construct buildings that require less energy for heating, cooling, and lighting, thereby reducing overall energy demand.
To ensure effective implementation of these designs, engineers are collaborating closely with architects to integrate energy-efficient HVAC systems optimized for minimal energy consumption. Additionally, smart building management systems (BMS) will be installed to monitor and control energy usage in real-time, ensuring that the buildings operate at peak efficiency consistently.
