India Energy Week (IEW) 2026, scheduled from 27–30 January 2026 at ONGC ATI in Goa, will bring together global energy ministers, industry leaders, policymakers, investors, academia and technology providers at a critical juncture for the global energy sector, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri said recently at the Curtain Raiser press conference. He described IEW as the first major international energy event of the year, with a focus on strengthening energy security, catalysing investment and advancing practical decarbonisation pathways.

Highlighting the event’s rapid growth, the Minister said India Energy Week has expanded significantly since its launch. Participation has risen from around 30,000 delegates and 316 exhibitors in 2023 to over 68,000 participants in 2025. IEW 2026 is expected to be the largest edition so far, with more than 75,000 delegates, over 600 exhibitors including 180 international exhibitors, more than 500 global speakers and over 120 conference sessions. The scale of participation reflects India’s growing leadership in shaping the global energy narrative.

The Minister noted that 17 ministers and deputy ministers from countries including the UAE, Canada, Netherlands, Oman, Brunei, Myanmar and Tanzania have confirmed participation, along with international organisations such as the International Energy Forum, BIMSTEC and the Eurasian Economic Union. The exhibition will span 11 thematic zones hosted by leading public sector undertakings, covering digitalisation and AI, hydrogen, renewables, petrochemicals, biofuels, LNG, city gas distribution, Make in India initiatives and net-zero solutions. New additions include dedicated Nuclear Energy and Sustainable Aviation Fuel zones.

The conference programme will be structured around 10 strategic themes, featuring four ministerial sessions and 47 leadership and spotlight panels. Five one-on-one Energy Talks with senior global leaders will focus on technology, markets and sustainability.

Emphasising indigenisation, the Minister said a Make in India and Indigenisation Pavilion led by Engineers India Limited will promote collaboration with MSMEs, vendors and start-ups. Eleven country pavilions, including those from Japan, the US, Germany, the UK, Netherlands, Norway, Canada, Russia and China, will further strengthen international engagement.

India Energy Week 2026 is also expected to deliver concrete business outcomes, with several major agreements proposed across shipbuilding, crude oil supply, upstream collaboration, LNG sourcing and sustainable aviation fuel projects. High-level side events, including the Prime Minister’s Roundtable with global CEOs and multiple bilateral energy dialogues, will underline India’s commitment to partnership-led growth.
