India-UK Workshop Boosts Green Hydrogen Cooperation

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and the British Standards Institution (BSI) hosted a two-day India-UK Standards Partnership Workshop on Green Hydrogen in New Delhi. The event focused on strengthening cooperation in hydrogen standardization, production, and regulations.

Organized under the UK Government’s Standards Partnership programme, the workshop emphasized safe and globally harmonised regulations, codes, and standards (RCS). It also explored fast-track Publicly Available Specification (PAS) standards and global hydrogen certification.

The discussions aimed to support India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission by identifying standardisation gaps and leveraging global best practices for certification and testing. The event featured insights from policymakers, technical experts, and industry leaders from both nations.
