Inox Wind has announced that it has entered into an agreement with KP Energy to jointly develop 2.5 GW of wind–solar hybrid projects across several states in India.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Inox Wind Ltd (IWL) and its subsidiaries will supply wind turbine generators and associated equipment, provide engineering support — including USS design, transformer specifications and foundation design — and will undertake pre-commissioning, commissioning and O&M of the wind turbine generators.

KP Energy will handle project development activities such as securing connectivity, land acquisition and right-of-way, obtaining statutory approvals, and executing balance-of-plant and EPC works.

Kailash Tarachandani, Group CEO – Renewables, INOXGFL Group, said the partnership combines Inox Wind’s manufacturing excellence, engineering capability and product reliability with KP Energy’s on-ground development expertise, enabling the two companies to pursue large-scale renewable opportunities with greater confidence.

KP Energy founder and MD Faruk G. Patel said the agreement represents a major strategic step in advancing large-scale renewable infrastructure. “By combining KPE’s experience in project development, statutory planning and balance-of-plant execution with IWL’s proven manufacturing and engineering strengths, we are creating a strong collaborative platform capable of delivering complex wind and hybrid assets at scale,” he said.
