INOX Air Products (INOXAP), one of India’s leading producers of industrial, electronic and speciality gases, has signed a long-term agreement to supply ultra-high purity (UHP) nitrogen to ReNew Photovoltaics’ upcoming TOPCON solar-cell manufacturing plant in Dholera, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Under the partnership, INOXAP will build a state-of-the-art Air Separation Unit (ASU) in Dholera to ensure reliable, uninterrupted nitrogen supply.

The new ASU will meet the stringent purity and consistency requirements essential for high-efficiency solar-cell production and is expected to be fully operational by the end of next year. INOXAP said the investment underscores its commitment to India’s clean-energy transition and fast-growing advanced-manufacturing ecosystem.

Commenting on the agreement, Diganta Sarma, Head of Business Development & Strategy at INOXAP, said the collaboration strengthens the company’s partnership with ReNew and supports India’s renewable-energy ambitions with world-class gas solutions. He added that the new ASU reflects INOXAP’s confidence in India’s potential to become a global hub for sustainable and advanced manufacturing.

ReNew’s Dholera facility is a key step in India’s efforts to build a robust domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem based on the latest TOPCON technology. INOXAP’s expertise in dependable gas supply will support the plant’s operational excellence and sustainability.

The ASU will deliver UHP nitrogen with exceptional reliability in line with the demanding specifications of TOPCON cell production. INOXAP already provides electronic gases—including nitrous oxide, ammonia and silane—to ReNew’s existing PERC cell plant through a strengthened supply chain using ISO containers and tube trailers. It also delivers end-to-end gas-management services covering supply, distribution and on-site handling to meet stringent quality and reliability requirements.
