Jain Irrigation Systems has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of 5,000 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across Maharashtra. The domestic award has been issued under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana and is valued at Rs. 1.18 bn, inclusive of GST.

The scope covers the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of agricultural solar pumping systems. The systems will have capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP, with the project scheduled for completion within 60 days.

The empanelment relates to MSEDCL’s requirement for off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems in the state. Jain Irrigation Systems said the engagement includes the complete delivery and commissioning process, extending from equipment production and logistics to field installation and testing.

The company disclosed the empanelment in a filing under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. The filing was submitted to the BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India on September 17, 2026, and identified MSEDCL as the domestic entity awarding the engagement.

The company’s disclosure stated that its promoters, promoter group and group companies have no interest in MSEDCL. It also stated that the transaction does not fall within related-party transactions. The empanelment provides for the supply and installation of the specified systems across Maharashtra, with execution governed by the 60-day completion period.
