Jakson Green Limited has signed a Green Ammonia Purchase Agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for the supply of green ammonia under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition programme, part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The agreement covers supply to Coromandel International Limited at its facility in Kakinada and is estimated to be valued at approximately Rs 465 million (mn) over its duration.

The deal follows a Letter of Award received by Jakson Green and its consortium from SECI in August 2025, won through a competitive bidding process under the SIGHT programme. The initiative is intended as India’s first procurement mechanism designed to incentivise production of green hydrogen and green ammonia and to improve cost competitiveness.

The company indicated that the agreement will support decarbonisation of the fertiliser value chain by enabling the use of green ammonia and will contribute to the national objective of establishing India as a global hub for green hydrogen and its derivatives. Jakson Green stated that it is expanding its footprint in the green hydrogen and sustainable fuels segment while developing projects and executing engineering, procurement and construction contracts.

Through an associate, Jakson Green is developing two green hydrogen projects with capacities of 5,000 tonnes per annum (t) each for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited. The company is also executing integrated facilities for ethanol, carbon capture and hydrogen with capacities of 10 t per day, 25 t per day and three t per day respectively, which are being delivered under EPC contracts for a public sector undertaking.

The agreement is presented as a significant step in advancing India’s green ammonia ecosystem and in strengthening the commercial viability of green hydrogen derivatives under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. Company representatives said the contract is expected to support domestic capability building and the wider energy transition agenda.
