Josler Energy, IGL, and Heath Consultants join forces for safer, greener gas infra
According to a company statement, the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between IGL and Heath Consultants was signed at GASTECH 2024 in Houston, marking a significant step towards reducing methane emissions and enhancing public safety across IGL’s network. Josler Energy will offer technical support, field expertise, and training to IGL employees, equipping them to use the latest gas leak detection technologies and best practices.
Josler Energy had reportedly surveyed over 20,000 kilometers of underground pipelines since 2019, helping to prevent hazardous leaks that could jeopardise public safety, the environment, and financial resources.
Josler Energy's Chairman and Managing Director, Sudhanshu Mehta, stated that partnering with Heath Consultants, a global leader with over 90 years of experience, strengthened their mission to make India’s natural gas infrastructure safer, more efficient, and environmentally sustainable.
The collaboration was expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the long-term sustainability of India’s natural gas infrastructure. This initiative aligns with the Indian government’s vision for a cleaner, greener future, as outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his continued efforts to lower the country’s carbon footprint.
