Mumbai, 28 October 2026: Jyoti Structures (JSL) has received a Notification of Award from Power Grid Corporation of India for Package TL05 of the ±800 kV HVDC Bipole Barmer-II and South Kalamb Transmission Lines project in Gujarat. The contract is valued at Rs 6.49 billion, excluding GST.
The turnkey scope includes the supply, erection, testing and commissioning of ±800 kV high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines. The project is scheduled for completion within 38 months of the award notification.
The order follows two Power Grid awards received on 26 October for Packages TL01 and TL02 under the same project in Rajasthan, worth a combined Rs 9.49 billion. With Package TL05, the three awards total Rs 15.98 billion, excluding GST.
JSL has also secured a Rs 6.90 billion contract from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited for the 765 kV DC Pachchham–Saykha Transmission Line project. In Sri Lanka, the company is working with Hayleys Fentons Limited on a 220 kV double-circuit transmission line to support the delivery of wind power to the national grid.
Amit Dutta, COO of Jyoti Structures, said the ±800 kV projects require detailed engineering and coordination across design, manufacturing, testing and site execution.
The company has more than five decades of experience in power transmission EPC. It has built over 37,600 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and delivered more than 1,800 high-voltage substation bays. Its prototype tower testing facility at Ghoti, near Nashik, can test designs up to 1,200 kV. JSL also operates two manufacturing units in Nashik, with combined galvanisation capacity of approximately 72,000 metric tonnes.
