Denmark-based KK Wind Solutions, a key supplier to the global wind power sector and part of A.P. Moller Holding, has inaugurated its largest Asian manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. The expansion marks a significant commitment to India’s renewable energy ambitions and the country’s growing role in global clean energy supply chains.
The new plant will employ up to 400 people and serve both domestic and international markets. Alongside this facility, KK Wind Solutions has also launched a shared services office in Bengaluru, where 150 staff will support its global operations.
Describing the move as a "key milestone" in its international growth strategy, the company highlighted India’s skilled engineering base and renewable energy potential as driving factors behind the investment.
Mauricio Quintana, CEO of KK Wind Solutions, said, “India is becoming a critical hub in the global wind energy value chain. Bengaluru, with its top-tier universities and deep engineering expertise, was the clear choice for this major expansion.”
The new plant will enhance KK Wind Solutions’ capability to deliver advanced power control systems and converters more efficiently and at scale.
The company has operated in Bengaluru since 2017, but this latest investment significantly expands its footprint in India’s clean energy landscape. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Eske Bo Knudsen Rosenberg, Consul General of Denmark in Bengaluru, alongside global executives, partners, and customers.
This development aligns with India’s broader push for renewable energy leadership and reinforces KK Wind Solutions’ long-term vision of supporting decarbonisation and green energy infrastructure globally.
