KP Energy Bags 99 MW Wind Power Project Order in Gujarat

KP Energy has secured an order from Inox Renewable Solutions Limited to develop a 99 MW wind power project in Gujarat, strengthening its presence in the renewable energy segment. The company disclosed the development in an exchange filing.

Under the agreement, KP Energy will execute the project on a turnkey basis, covering key stages of development and implementation. However, the company did not disclose the financial value of the order.

The new project aligns with Gujarat’s growing focus on wind energy deployment, leveraging the state’s strong wind potential and established renewable infrastructure. Gujarat continues to be one of India’s leading states in wind power capacity, attracting investments from domestic and international players as the country accelerates its clean energy transition.

KP Energy has been actively expanding its project portfolio across wind and hybrid renewable energy solutions. The latest order from Inox Renewable Solutions further reinforces its role as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) player in India’s renewable energy value chain.

Inox Renewable Solutions is part of the Inox Group and is involved in providing integrated renewable energy solutions, including wind project development and execution. The collaboration is expected to contribute to capacity addition and support India’s broader renewable energy targets.

Following the announcement, KP Energy’s shares ended 0.26 per cent higher at Rs 291.80 apiece on the BSE, reflecting a muted but positive market response.

India has set ambitious goals to scale up renewable energy capacity, with wind power playing a critical role alongside solar energy. Orders such as this highlight continued momentum in project execution despite broader challenges in the power sector, including land acquisition, grid connectivity and financing.

KP Energy said the project will be executed in line with agreed timelines, though further details regarding commissioning schedules and operational milestones were not disclosed.
