KPI Green Energy Gets Grid Approval For 32.4 MW Projects

KPI Green Energy on Thursday announced that it has received approval to connect 32.40 MW of solar and hybrid solar projects to the main electricity grid. In a regulatory filing, the company said the projects were developed for clients of its subsidiary under the captive power producer business segment.

The company said it has obtained charging, or energisation, approval for the 32.40 MW capacity. In the renewable energy sector, such approval is granted by grid operators after a project meets all technical and regulatory requirements, allowing it to be connected to the main grid and begin power evacuation.

KPI Green Energy added that the charging approvals have been issued in the name of the respective clients for whom the solar and hybrid projects were developed.
