KPI Green Energy Secures LoI For 76.6 MW DC Hybrid Project

KPI Green Energy Limited has received a letter of intent for a group captive wind-solar hybrid power project with a combined capacity of 33.6 megawatt (MW) of wind and 33.6 MW AC plus 43 MW DC of solar, aggregating to 33.6 / 76.6 MW DC capacity. The company said the order will be developed for a reputed customer under the Group Captive framework and will bolster its commercial and industrial renewable offerings. The announcement was made in a regulatory filing.

The firm indicated that it will complete development, construction and commissioning within 14 months from Stage-two connectivity and, in any case, no later than 31st December 2027. The project will carry a standard term of 25 years from the commencement date of the energy supply agreement. The assignment is described by the company as enhancing its wind, solar and hybrid capabilities.

KPI Green Energy also reported progress on its independent power producer portfolio of 2.57 gigawatt peak (GWp), of which approximately 1.16 GWp is already energised and the balance of about 1.41 GWp is under active execution. The company noted commissioning and injection from its 200 MW solar project, listed at 240 MWp, at Khavda Solar Park (South Block) within GSECL’s 1.8 GW solar park. It further noted early synchronisation and ahead?of?schedule power injection for a 50 MW project reported as 92.15 MWp.

In the battery energy storage segment, Sun Drops Energia executed battery energy storage purchase agreements for two projects with GUVNL covering 565 MW and 1,130 megawatt hour (MWh) of standalone capacity. The new order contributes to the company’s order book and supports a strategy of expansion across IPP, group captive and engineering, procurement and construction opportunities. Management presented the moves as steps to deliver long-term stakeholder value and to deepen presence in commercial, industrial and hybrid markets.
