Larsen & Toubro’s Renewables (RENU) vertical has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with ACWA Power for the Renewables & Grid scope of the Yanbu Green Ammonia Project in Saudi Arabia.

The Yanbu Green Hydrogen Hub is being developed as a fully integrated facility with its own captive renewable electricity generation from solar and wind power. The Renewables & Grid scope includes multiple facilities such as solar PV, wind and battery energy storage plants, supported by substations and transmission lines.

The MoU establishes a collaborative framework to design, configure and achieve performance targets for the Renewables & Grid elements. Larsen & Toubro has also committed to enter into an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract once the final proposal is approved.

The collaboration leverages L&T’s EPC expertise to ensure seamless integration of renewable technologies, robust project execution, and high standards of safety, sustainability and performance.
