L&T bags Rs 2,500 crore worth of power contracts

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced the acquisition of significant contracts valued at over Rs 2,500 crore in both domestic and international markets. The power transmission and distribution (PT&D) division of Larsen & Toubro Construction has successfully secured major contracts for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects, as stated in a press release.

In Saudi Arabia, the company has secured two contracts to establish 380kV overhead power transmission lines, connecting important cities along the Red Sea coast. Additionally, Larsen & Toubro will design, supply, and construct a 380kV substation in the central region of Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, in India, the PT&D division has continued its impressive performance by securing new orders from a prominent Gujarat DISCOM under the Revamped Reforms Based and Results-Linked Distribution Sector (RDSS) Scheme. The scope of work entails the modernization and development of distribution infrastructure in three districts within Gujarat's southern region.

As per Larsen & Toubro's categorisation, projects valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore are considered large orders.
