L&T Secures 3.5GW Solar PV Plant Contracts in Middle East

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured significant contracts for the development of 3.5GW solar photovoltaic (PV) plants in the Middle East. This marks a major achievement for the company, reinforcing its position as a leading player in the global renewable energy sector.

The contracts involve engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for the solar PV plants, which will be spread across multiple locations in the region. These projects are expected to substantially contribute to the Middle East's renewable energy capacity and support its goals for sustainable development and carbon reduction.

L&T's scope of work includes the design, installation, and commissioning of the solar PV plants, along with associated infrastructure such as transmission systems. The projects will utilise advanced PV technology to ensure high efficiency and reliability in power generation.

The Middle East has been increasingly investing in renewable energy to diversify its energy mix and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. L&T's involvement in these solar PV projects aligns with the region's strategic objectives and highlights the company's expertise in delivering large-scale renewable energy solutions.

This development comes at a time when the global demand for clean energy is on the rise.
