Mahindra Susten has commissioned 560 MWp of utility-scale solar capacity during calendar year 2025 across two projects—280 MWp in Gujarat and 280 MWp in Rajasthan—strengthening its footprint in large-scale renewable energy development.

The projects supply power under 25-year long-term power purchase agreements with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited and Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, respectively. These assets represent the first batch of projects developed and commissioned by Mahindra Susten following the sale of 1.54 GWp of operational assets in 2024 to Sustainable Energy Infra Trust, an infrastructure investment trust co-sponsored by the company under its capital-light strategy.

Spanning nearly 2,000 acres across Gujarat and Rajasthan, the projects collectively deploy around one million solar modules. The installations use next-generation n-type TOPCon bifacial modules paired with high-efficiency inverters, dry-cleaning systems and optimised balance-of-system configurations to maximise long-term energy output. Power evacuation is enabled through 220 kV substations, ensuring high grid availability and seamless integration with state transmission networks.

The combined 560 MWp portfolio is expected to generate approximately 1,000 million units of clean electricity annually. Project execution involved a peak workforce of about 1,000 personnel and was completed with 2.9 million safe man-hours.

He added that, building on 15 years of expertise, the company is deepening its presence across utility-scale solar and wind, storage, hybrid and group-captive projects to support India’s clean energy goals and create long-term value for stakeholders.

To date, the Mahindra Group has executed 2.1 GWp of independent power producer capacity and maintains a development pipeline exceeding 3 GWp. In addition to the newly commissioned assets, Mahindra Susten is currently developing and executing large-scale renewable projects in Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan and Karnataka.
