Speaking on "Global Wind Day," Minister of State Naik commended Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Karnataka for obtaining the nation's largest increases in wind capacity in FY 2023?2024. MNRE Secretary Bhupinder Singh Bhalla stated that in order to achieve the nation's goals of 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 and net zero by 2070, solar and wind energy must be combined to create a dependable system. India has almost forty years of experience producing wind energy. By May, its total installed wind power capacity reached 46.4 GW, making it the fourth greatest in the world. Bhalla encouraged the stakeholders to work together to achieve the sector's short- and long-term goals by highlighting the accomplishments of the previous year.
