NLC Renewables Signs PPA For 200 MW Wind Project

NLC India Renewables Limited, a subsidiary of NLC India Limited, has signed a long-term power purchase agreement with SJVN Limited for the development of a 200 MW wind power project.

The agreement was signed in Chennai in the presence of NLC India Chairman and Managing Director Prasanna Kumar Motupalli and SJVN Chairman and Managing Director Bhupender Gupta.

The PPA forms part of SJVN’s 600 MW Inter-State Transmission System-connected wind power programme under the Wind-2 tranche, awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding. The project is expected to generate around 500 million units of renewable electricity annually.

NLC India said the agreement highlights strong collaboration between the two central public sector enterprises, supporting India’s clean energy transition while strengthening long-term energy security through large-scale renewable deployment.
