Noida Clears Rs 970 Million Power Upgrade By March 2026
In parallel, Noida will benefit from a broader modernisation initiative under the national Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme and SCADA rollout. Over the next three years, the city has been earmarked Rs 13.13 billion for long-term infrastructure upgrades. Of this, Rs 8.92 billion will be directed towards system augmentation, Rs 3.96 billion will support SCADA installation, and about Rs 250 million will go towards integrating smart technologies.
These improvements include new 33/11 kV substations, strengthened distribution networks, modern transformers, control rooms and real-time monitoring systems. The projects aim to address both rapidly expanding areas along the Noida Expressway and older sectors with outdated infrastructure.
Authorities expect the combined initiatives to reduce outages, improve voltage stability and support rising demand from residential, commercial and industrial consumers. The modernisation push forms part of a wider effort to strengthen electricity distribution, improve reliability and build a future-ready power network capable of supporting Noida’s long-term growth.
