NTPC grants RVNL an order of Rs 4.95 billion

RVNL received a letter of award (LoA) from NTPC, recognising and endorsing the company?s efforts in railway infrastructure development. The main objective of RVNL is to implement various railway projects to enhance capacity and service quality. The receipt of the LoA from NTPC, an organisation known for its commitment to excellence, further strengthened RVNL?s position in the industry.
The project execution agency (PEA) was ordered to execute the Rammam hydroelectric project Stage-III contract worth Rs 40.95 million. The contract involves the execution of the remaining civil and hydro-mechanical (HM) works of the Barrage Complex, including part HRT package. The project, which includes the construction of three 40 MW units, has a stipulated completion period of 66 months.
The Hydroelectric (HE) project, a run-of-the-river scheme, is leveraging the power potential of the Rammam river in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal. This initiative marks a crucial step towards sustainable energy production in the region.
