NTPC Green Commissions Close to 100 MW of Solar Power Capacity

NTPC Green Energy has commenced operations of nearly 100 megawatts (MW) of additional solar power capacity. As per a regulatory filing, its parent company, NTPC, stated that this includes 32.8 MW commissioned under the 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project in Khavda, Bhuj, Gujarat. This project falls under the 450 MW Hybrid Tranche-V initiative of NTPC Renewable Energy and began commercial operations on 30 January, following an earlier 142.2 MW addition on 28 June.

Additionally, the company initiated commercial operations for 64.7 MW of the 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar Photovoltaic Project, developed under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-III by NTPC Renewable Energy. This segment's commercial operations were declared on 30 June, with previous phases of 110.25 MW and 146.7 MW having commenced on 6 June and 28 June, respectively.
