NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CtrlS Datacenter Limited (CtrlS) to collaborate on the development of renewable energy (RE) projects across India.
The MoU, signed by Sarit Maheshwari, CEO, NGEL and NTPC REL, and Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder and Chairman, CtrlS Datacenter Ltd., aims to jointly explore business opportunities for establishing 2 GW or more of RE capacity for the supply of round-the-clock (RTC) renewable power to CtrlS datacentres on a PAN-India basis for their captive energy needs.
The collaboration reflects NGEL’s commitment to accelerating India’s transition to clean energy while supporting the data centre industry’s efforts toward sustainable and reliable power consumption. CtrlS, one of India’s largest datacentre operators, continues to strengthen its green energy footprint through strategic partnerships aligned with national sustainability goals.
This partnership underscores NTPC Green Energy’s focus on expanding its renewable energy portfolio and contributing to India’s vision of achieving net-zero emissions through scalable, technology-driven solutions.
