NTPC Invites Bids for O&M of Floating and Ground Solar Plants

NTPC has invited bids for the comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) of a 92 MW floating solar project at NTPC Kayamkulam in Kerala for three years, and a 5 MW ground-mounted solar system at Sri Vijaya Puram, Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, for two years and nine months.
The deadline for bid submission is 18 August 2024, with technical bids to be opened on 20 August.
Interested bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 2 million and a tender fee of Rs 9,293.
The scope of work includes daily monitoring of string outages, restoring inverter trips, responding to breakdowns and tripping incidents, and system restoration within the shortest possible time. All high-tension faults and equipment tripping incidents must be thoroughly investigated, and a root cause analysis is to be submitted to NTPC.
Selected contractors will be required to man the control room 24/7. The supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system will be the primary tool for tracking the operational status of the equipment.
To be eligible, bidders must have installed and commissioned at least one grid-connected solar power project with a minimum capacity of 20 MW within the past seven years. Additionally, they must have operated and maintained a similar-sized solar project continuously for at least one year in the same period.
Financially, bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least Rs 82.9 million over the last three financial years, and a net worth of no less than 100 per cent of their paid-up share capital.
In recent activity, NTPC Green also invited bids for O&M of a 160 MW solar project in Jetstar, Rajasthan, for two months. Earlier in May, bids were invited for a two-year O&M contract covering 56.3 MW of solar capacity at Kawas, Surat, Gujarat.
