NTPC Ltd has initiated a series of major procurement and technical engagements to strengthen power infrastructure across its gas, thermal and upcoming river-linked projects. As part of this strategy, the company has floated a service tender for refurbishing Stage-4 rotor blades of a gas turbine at the Dadri Gas Power Station (Tender ID: 2025_NTPC_102487_1).

The one-year contract, issued through a three-cover bidding system, requires bidders to submit fee documents, qualifying records and a financial bid. The tender carries an earnest money deposit of Rs 500,000. Bid submissions close on 17 December 2025, with technical bids opening on 19 December. NTPC has mandated strict compliance with safety rules, fraud-prevention policies and non-deviation requirements, while providing detailed technical documents and BOQ files on its e-procurement portal.

In parallel, NTPC-SAIL Power Company Ltd (NSPCL), the NTPC–SAIL joint venture, has issued a tender on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) under Bid No. GEM/2025/B/6914335 for a two-year Boiler and Auxiliaries Maintenance Contract at its Durgapur PP2 and PP3 units. The contract covers maintenance of boilers, rotary components, ESP systems, milling systems, air pre-heaters and burner assemblies. It carries an EMD of Rs 1 million, with exemptions available to eligible Micro and Small Enterprises. As per procurement norms, if the lowest bidder is not an MSE, all MSE bidders within 15 per cent of the L1 price will be invited to match the lowest bid for full award consideration.

Separately, in a major sustainability initiative, NTPC has issued a global Expression of Interest (EOI No. NTPC/PE/SE/EOI-01/2025-26) seeking advanced, climate-resilient and technologically innovative solutions for water withdrawal from the river Ganga for an upcoming project. NTPC aims to identify robust, automated and adaptable intake systems capable of operating under conditions such as monsoon floods, lean-season low flows, heavy silt loads and sudden water-level fluctuations. The EOI encourages proposals featuring hybrid, modular, retractable or amphibious designs with redundancy, real-time monitoring and environmental safeguards. Submissions close on 15 January 2026, with clarifications accepted until 25 December and responses opening on 16 January.

Together, these tenders and the global EOI reflect NTPC’s continued focus on operational reliability, adoption of advanced technologies and climate-resilient engineering. With India’s electricity demand rising sharply, NTPC’s emphasis on asset upgrades and sustainable design forms a strategic pillar for bolstering national energy security.
