Oswal Pumps Wins Rs 1.20 Billion PM-KUSUM Solar Order

Oswal Pumps Limited has secured an order worth Rs 1.20 billion from Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited under the PM-KUSUM B scheme for the supply and installation of off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems in Karnataka.

The order involves the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 3,263 solar water pumping systems. These include pumps with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, 7.5 HP and 10 HP, which will be installed at identified farmers’ locations across the state. The project is aimed at promoting sustainable irrigation practices and accelerating the adoption of renewable energy in the agricultural sector.

The contract strengthens Oswal Pumps’ position in the solar pumping solutions segment and highlights the company’s execution capabilities, manufacturing expertise and commitment to India’s renewable energy and rural development initiatives.

Commenting on the order, Vivek Gupta, chairman and managing director of Oswal Pumps Limited, said the project marks the company’s first major and comprehensive assignment in Karnataka, representing an important milestone in expanding its geographic footprint. He added that successful execution of the project is expected to deepen the company’s presence in the state and support future growth opportunities.
