Precision Camshafts has announced the commissioning of a 14 MWp captive solar power plant at Mangalwedha in Solapur, marking a key step in expanding its renewable energy footprint.

The newly operational plant forms part of the expansion of the company’s existing 15 MWp captive solar facility at the same location, taking the total installed solar capacity to 29 MWp.

The company said the commissioning is expected to lower electricity costs for its manufacturing operations, support green energy generation and contribute to a reduction in its overall carbon footprint. The expanded solar capacity aligns with Precision Camshafts’ focus on improving energy efficiency and advancing sustainability across its production activities.
