Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab on 17 July to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for infrastructure and social-sector projects totalling Rs 250 billion (Rs 250 bn). The tour will include road, rail and healthcare initiatives across urban and rural areas. The programme includes public dedications and ceremonial flag-offs at several locations.

At Jind he will flag off India's first hydrogen fuel cell-powered train on the Jind-Sonipat route, a 10-coach set developed in India that uses green hydrogen and emits only water vapour. The train is driven by a 3,200 HP propulsion system and is presented as among the longest and most powerful hydrogen trainsets, reducing tailpipe emissions and fossil fuel dependence. He will also dedicate projects worth Rs 147 billion (Rs 147 bn) and announce highway works.

In Chandigarh he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects valued at Rs 47 billion (Rs 47 bn) covering healthcare, education and roads, and will address the gatherings. The Advanced Mother and Child Centre at PGIMER will provide tertiary services with 300 beds while the Advanced Neurosciences Centre will offer integrated neurology and neurosurgery care; a 150-bed critical care block will strengthen emergency capacity. The visit also includes new hostels and a six-lane Greenfield highway to improve regional connectivity.

In Jalandhar he will inaugurate rail and road projects totalling Rs 54.7 billion (Rs 54.7 bn), including 75 redeveloped Amrit Bharat stations across 20 states developed at a cost of Rs 15.7 billion (Rs 15.7 bn). The Daulatpur Chowk-Kartoli new rail line, built at about Rs 8.3 billion (Rs 8.3 bn), will strengthen links with Himachal Pradesh and improve access to religious and remote destinations. He will also open sections of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway and lay foundation stones for the Southern Ludhiana Bypass and other highway works totalling Rs 30.7 billion (Rs 30.7 bn).
