Quality Power Bags Export Order for Microsoft’s Finland Data Centre

Quality Power Electrical Equipments, a leading manufacturer of high-voltage power products and quality solutions, has secured an export order exceeding Rs 100 million from a prominent European client. The contract involves the supply of dry-type shunt reactors for a hyperscale data centre project in Finland, backed by global technology giant Microsoft.

This win marks a significant step for Quality Power’s entry into advanced digital infrastructure projects in Europe. The reactors will support reactive power management, grid stability, and voltage control—key requirements for uninterrupted operation in data centres operating under light-load conditions.

The shunt reactors, designed as per IEC 60076-6 standards and tailored for high-resilience data environments, will be manufactured at the company’s ISO-certified facility in Sangli, Maharashtra. The dry-type, air-core design eliminates the risks associated with oil-filled systems, making them ideal for fire-sensitive zones in modern data centres.

According to Vivek Moroney, President – Operations, Quality Power, this project is a testament to the company’s technical strength and expanding global credibility. He said the order was secured after extensive evaluation by Scandinavian utilities and engineering consultants, reinforcing the company's reliability in delivering high-performance coil-based solutions for international projects.

Earlier this year, Quality Power expanded its footprint in key global markets, and this contract further cements its role in powering large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure.
