Rajesh Power Services Secures Rs. 690 mn UGVCL Contract

Rajesh Power Services has received a turnkey contract from Uttar Gujarat Vij Company (UGVCL) for shifting existing electrical network infrastructure at various locations in the Sabarmati and Mehsana circles. The work will also include GIS mapping, Geo Urja Mapping and asset tagging under the ND Scheme.

The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and is classified as a domestic turnkey contract. According to the company’s regulatory disclosure, the assignment is scheduled to be completed within 12 months from the relevant commencement of the contract.

The broad consideration for the order is Rs. 690 mn, inclusive of taxes. The disclosure provides the consolidated value of the contract and does not include a separate breakup for the network-shifting work, mapping activities or asset-tagging component.

The assignment combines physical relocation of existing electrical assets with digital mapping and identification of those assets. Geo Urja Mapping for the project has been identified as being developed by GUVNL, while the contract specifically covers implementation at locations falling within the Sabarmati and Mehsana circles under UGVCL.

The filing also records that the promoter, promoter group and group companies of Rajesh Power Services have no interest in UGVCL. It further states that the contract does not fall within related-party transactions, removing the requirement for an arm’s-length assessment under that disclosure.

The announcement was submitted as a disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations. It was signed by Jyoti Dakshesh Mochi, company secretary and compliance officer, on behalf of Rajesh Power Services, with the filing issued for the information and records of the relevant stakeholders.
