Raminfo Wins Rs 4.7 Billion Solar Project in Rajasthan
Raminfo Limited, a leading tech solutions provider, has secured a major order valued at approximately Rs 4.74 billion from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL). The contract, awarded to a consortium led by Raminfo, marks the company’s significant entry into the smart energy space with a focus on building a sustainable green future.
The project involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) power systems on buildings owned by the Rajasthan State Government and its undertakings. Executed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), the project will cover a total installed capacity of 73 megawatts and includes comprehensive operation and maintenance over a 25-year period.
Raminfo will hold a 51 per cent stake in this project through its newly incorporated subsidiary, Raminfo Green Energy Private Limited, which was established on 5 May 2025. The special purpose vehicle will oversee project execution and long-term management of the solar systems.
Commenting on the milestone, L. Srinath Reddy, Managing Director of Raminfo Limited, said, “We are proud to lead this solar initiative in Rajasthan. Our reliable, affordable, and innovative rooftop solar solutions reflect our vision of driving India’s energy revolution. With our strong project execution capabilities, we aim to meet and exceed rooftop solar targets across state government buildings.”
Raminfo Green Energy operates in the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply sector and is at the forefront of the company’s transition into clean energy. The move aligns with Raminfo’s broader sustainability ambitions and the national agenda for energy independence through renewables.
India’s rooftop solar sector is experiencing rapid growth, with total installed capacity reaching 13.7 gigawatts by the end of December 2024. The market is expected to grow significantly, with projections estimating a value of USD 4.46 billion by 2033. This expansion is being driven by falling installation and storage costs, government incentives, and rising awareness about the benefits of solar energy.
The Rajasthan project places Raminfo at the centre of India’s green energy momentum, bolstered by increased public and private investment. As the company continues to diversify and lead in smart energy, it positions itself as a key player in India’s journey towards a sustainable, solar-powered future.
